It’s that time of year again… Thanksgiving is almost upon us and it’s time to start thinking about our menus! I love Thanksgiving, not because of the food, but because I love spending time around a table with loved ones and just basking in the cheer this time of year brings about.
But I’m also all for a good meal and one of the ways I say “I love you” is through food so I’m happy to take part in that as well! It’s no secret Thanksgiving dinner can sometimes be stressful so I’ve rounded up some of my favorite and must have Thanksgiving kitchen tools to help make your Thanksgiving prep and cooking much easier!
Thanksgiving Kitchen Tools
Roasting Pan with Rack | For cooking the turkey in of course! Unless of course you plan on spatchcocking the turkey and throwing it on the smoker.
Leave in Thermometer | I use this to leave in the bird while it’s cooking so I can constantly know what the temperature is.
Instant Thermometer | I use this to quickly check the temperature in various parts of the bird (breast, thigh, etc.)
Turkey Brining Container | I’m a big proponent of brining a turkey because I think it ends up more moist and this brining container works perfect.
Turkey Baster | To baste the turkey, of course!
Carving Board | A large cutting board with a groove to hold in juices makes carving and presenting your turkey easier and cleaner!
Dutch Oven | I like to simmer turkey stock all day in my dutch oven, which makes the house smell amazing and makes a great gravy. But these things also come in handy for so many other things like sautéing vegetables, boiling potatoes, braising meats, etc.
Baking Sheets | You’re gonna need baking sheets and you’re gonna need a lot! I like these half sheets with raised edges.
Trivets | Trivets help keep things from burning countertops or tables so I always like to have a few on hand so that I can easily set things down when they come out of the oven.
Prep Bowls | A good set of prep bowls will come in handy in many ways so this set of different sizes works great.
Of course, there are plenty of other gadgets and tools that can help you as you cook your meal but here are a few of my favorite and most essential items. Would love to hear if you have any must have items as well!
