A Keto Chili Cheese fries recipe?! It’s about time. Bringing back all that chili cheese fry nostalgia with this delicious low carb comfort food.
Chili Cheese Fries sort of fall into the realm of food nostalgia for me. They remind me of when I was younger, cruising in the car, windows down and music on, just chowing on some chili cheese fries.
I haven’t eaten “fast food” in over 15 years now but that doesn’t mean I don’t sometimes want some chili cheese fries, you know? So per usual I did my best to come up with a healthier alternative that would satisfy that craving and here they are, the Keto Chili Cheese Fries we’ve all been dreaming of! Okay, maybe not, but you catch my drift.
This is the kind of food that is so fun on keto, a healthier twist on a classic “not good for us” favorite.
Keto Fry Alternatives
There are a few different options for fries here:
- keto fries
- jicama fries
- zucchini fries
You could also put this over roasted cauliflower and that’d be a great option as well. I’m going to be using jicama fries.
Chili Cheese Fries Toppings
I’m doing pretty simple toppings here but there are so many fun options you could add that would be delicious. If I was serving this to a group I would set out multiple different options so that people could mix and match and make whatever their favorite variation was.
Here’s a few topping ideas:
- sour cream, greek yogurt, crema
- Cilantro, parsley, green onion
- Avocado
- Chopped onions
- Different types of cheeses
