Things I’m Loving:
Trader Joe’s Shredded Cauliflower
I’ve always been on the train for shredded cauliflower, pizza, breadsticks, tortillas, rice, etc. but TJ’s makes it so easy. The cauliflower is already shredded, I just toss it into my food. I make burrito bowls, casseroles, etc. Helps me get even more veggies in the diet which is something I’ve really been trying to focus on lately.
Nike Lunch Duffel
Ugh. This Nike Lunch Duffel absolutely kills me. I think it’s so cute and fun. I’ve been doing meal prep for my breakfast/lunches and this fits two 32oz containers. It’s a tight fit but so are skinny jeans. I love it and it’s insulated too with a side pocket.
Pumpkin Pie Spice
Call me basic or whatever you want, I call myself a lover of flavors, but I’m all about the Pumpkin this time of year. I even had a Pumpkin Spice Latte even though I’m traditionally opposed to anything but black coffee. Thank gosh Canabru makes such good coffee so it wasn’t overly sweet but perfectly balanced. This Pumpkin Pie Spice from Primal Palate is great for all your baking needs!
This place was a real gem. It was in a sort of industry type setting with a few businesses around it but once you walk inside, it’s just beautiful. The decor is great, the vibe is great, the coffee is even better. We tried two different coffees, the drip iced coffee and the regular cold brew. Both were great. We chose to drink them there and enjoy rather than take them to go. Both were served on little trays that remind you to enjoy the coffee, the moment and to put your phone away. I thought that was a nice touch. Ended up having some great conversation and a good time. We also shared a blueberry pastry which was delicious!
Restaurant: Urban Plates // Brea, CA
Really good. Kinda reminds me of Lemonade in Pasadena. Cafeteria style made with good ingredients. Choose your plate (bowl, plate, flatbread, etc.), choose your protein, choose your sides. I had steak with roasted brussels sprouts and tomato and mozzarella salad. It was good. They also have Kombucha on tap! Really cute spot.

Wait what? Cookie Dough Beer on tap. I am intrigued and wigged out all at once. Part of the proceeds of the beer goes to charity, Protect Our Winters. Apparently now you can have your cookie dough and drink it too.
Oof this gives me the heebie jeebies. I’m all about sacrificing the body to block a shot but this is like REALLY sacrificing the body.
This is my worst nightmare. Avocados are so expensive now. I’m going to have to get a second job just to support my healthy fat habit.
That’s all for this week! Hope everyone has a safe weekend. If you try out one of the recipes, tag your post on Instagram #mincerepublic! I love to see your stuff.
