It’s week 4! Wow time is flying by!
So welcome back to the One Room Challenge (ORC)! If you’re unfamiliar, the ORC is a six week challenge to transform a space in your home and we’re renovating our pool bathroom!

You are here: Week 4
In case you forgot, here’s a before shot of the pool bathroom:
And here’s our mood board for the direction we’re headed:
This week we finally started getting in some of the fun stuff for this renovation! We got our towel holders, toilet paper holder, sink faucet, shelf brackets and some new towels as well!
We also demo’d the original tile this week. If you remember previously, I mentioned that we weren’t sure whether or not we were going to keep the original tile or replace it. After thinking about it though we decided we had to replace it to do this thing right. Of course, it’s added a lot more to our plate but it will be worth it in the end.
Here’s a photo of all the tile removed
And here is the very real reality of a renovation! A mess and our toilet outside ha ha
This weekend, we will tile the floor and we should also receive a few more of our products like the mirror and light fixture. I’m going to finish up the shelves as well!
As a reminder, here’s our to do list!

- replace floor tile
- replace sink

You can see that we still have a lot to do but this weekend we should get some of the bigger items taken care of which will put us in good position. It’s definitely going to come down to the wire, since there was an entire week we couldn’t do anything, but we’ll still make the deadline!
Thanks for following along, see you back next Thursday! And in the meantime, follow along on Instagram @mincerepublic where I share stories about the renovation.
