It’s that time of year again! Time to mentally prepare and get yourself ready to go for one of the biggest days of the season. Time to make the best snacks and munchies of your life. Oh and then there’s also a football game on.
If you recall, last year I shared some Super Bowl recipes.
I’ve mentioned this before but I’m not the worlds biggest football fan. Hockey? yes! Football? Not as much. But the Super Bowl? Super Bowl food? Super Bowl parties? Now that’s something I can support.
I’m all about the game day eats so today I’m sharing with you 50 of my favorite game day recipes including options for healthy, kid friendly, low carb, keto and paleo!

Here are a few good choices:
Sparkling – Perfect with just about any party food, due to its crisp and clean flavors of citrus. Some may also have delicate flavors of apples, peaches, pears, white flowers, bread and butter. Sparkling handles spicy food well, cuts through fatty dishes, loves cheese, and doesn’t overpower flavors. Make sure to look for Brut or Brut Nature on the label – this denotes the lowest amount of added sugar to the wine.
Suggestion: Korbel Brut NV (Sonoma, California) $13.99
Apple, pear, citrus favoring lemon and grapefruit.
Rosé – Believe it or not, rosé isn’t just for the summer. A nice dry rosé is an excellent food wine because it is packed with minerality (think wet stones and saline), fresh citrus and red berries, and a touch of herbs. Pair this with salads, shrimp cocktail, cheese & crackers, spinach & artichoke dip.
Suggestion: Charles & Charles Rosé (Columbia Valley, Washington) $11.99
Strawberry, watermelon, raspberry, wet slate, graphite.
Riesling – This wine loves spicy food, from salsa to buffalo chicken dip to jalapeño poppers to chili. It also pairs amazing with Asian fare, so those sweet and sour meatballs you have stewing in the slow cooker need some Riesling love, too. Many Rieslings can be off-dry (read: sweet), so be sure to read the label carefully and look for a dry option.
Suggestion: Chateau St. Michelle Dry Riesling (Columbia Valley, Washington) $7.99
Lemon, pear, melon, white peach, mandarin orange, white florals.
Pinot Noir – Pinot Noir is known as one of the most, if not the most, food friendly wine of all. Earthy, yet fruity, it contains just enough acidity to play well with just about anything at your Super Bowl party. Some of the best options include chicken wings, burgers, nachos, and sausages.
Suggestion: J. Lohr Falcon’s Perch Pinot Noir (Monterey County, California) $16.99
Plum, fresh crushed berries, cherry, rhubarb, dried herbs.
Zinfandel – Barbecue is a staple at any sporting event, and Zinfandel is a staple with barbecue. This big, bold wine shows tons of dark fruit flavors, rich earthy spice, and even a bit of smokiness, which complements the perfect barbecue. Enjoy with ribs, pulled pork, burgers, even chili and meatballs.
Suggestion: Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel (Contra Costa County, California) $12.99
